I speak on December 2nd at this event http://masshumanities.org/?p=symposium hosted by Mass Humanities, the Massachusetts branch of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
On November 17, 2010, I am moderator for the Washington launch of the latest United Nations Human Development Report http://www.us.undp.org/Roundtables/events.shtml. The report shows that living standards and education are rising more rapidly in most of the developing world than is generally known. This is happy news, and consistent with the message of Sonic Booom.
The Audible.com version of Sonic Boom is now available here.
I spoke this week about Sonic Boom to a gathering of Navy and Marine officers in Newport, Rhode Island. I hope the fact that I have given advice to U.S. military leaders does not cause you to flee to Canada.
The New York Times just called Sonic Boom a “good book”. Okay, they didn’t call it “the greatest book in all of human history.” But I’ll take “good.”
Next week I will read my book — “narrate” myself — for the Audible.com version, which should be available early June. Then you can listen to me without having to look at me — the ideal outcome!
I will be the guest on the Colbert Report on Wednesday, April 28th. Wave a flag as you watch!
ABC’s Diane Sawyer interviews me about Sonic Boom http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/conversation-sonic-booms-bright-future-10373025?tab=9482931§ion=1206825.
I am supposed to know how to post video directly to this blog. There are other things I am supposed to know. Anyway, the URL works.
Sonic Boom just received a “favourable notice,” as a Brit might say, in The Hindu http://beta.thehindu.com/arts/books/article394103.ece.
